Mind-Blowing Visuals and Speed – OLED Gaming at Its Finest

The QD-OLED panel delivers jaw-dropping blacks and vibrant colors that make every game look stunning. The 500Hz refresh rate is absolutely insane—while I can’t fully push it with every title, it feels incredibly smooth, especially in fast-paced, twitchy shooters. The 0.03ms response time and G-Sync compatibility keep everything crisp and tear-free. Once you experience OLED at this level, there’s no going back. This monitor is a beast.

Very crisp colors and the stand is very sturdy – you can set this monitor a bit higher than most
Incentivized Incentivized review: The reviewer received a benefit for sharing feedback. The Doctor October 2, 2025Review source: AmazonI have been testing this monitor with many devices, currently using on my workstation as I compose this review. I have had it connected directly to an Xbox X series, Windows 11 laptops and MacBook Pro. The monitor works well for all devices with the most detail coming from my Xbox from the high end games. I would use this as my main gaming monitor except that I have it attached my front room tv that is extremely large. So I have replaced a 27″ ViewSonic that’s a few years old on my workstation with this monitor and there is quite a difference. Colors are brighter, more detail in the visuals and you can connect 2 HDMI sources so I can also attach my mini PC without a separate adapter. The stand can go higher than most monitor stands and I don’t need the riser that I used previously while still maintaining a natural eye level height. Excellent construction, very well packaged and I couldn’t be happier with this monitor – it’s excellent.

Best Monitor I have ever used

Deep blacks and a high level of color accuracy. Although it is not inexpensive, you do get a great product for your money. Gaming on this monitor is incredible. The response time is INSTANT due to the high refresh rate. The screen size is also right for me and my space. The ports are also a huge plus. Overall for being a premium product, I can say it truly delivers premium results.

Solid work Samsung almost perfect
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Michael Haas September 23, 2025Review source: AmazonPower button is flimsy and can break if you push too hard. Great colors and great visuals overall. Very fast response perfect for shooters. Easy to setup just wish it came with a remote to turn on or off with menu settings for the monitor. The back button you use to change settings and turn the monitor on and off feels very cheap and I’m scared will break.

Great display!

The screen has many different picture modes so you can use whichever colors you like the most. Personally, I like the Eco and FPS mode. (Mostly dictated by my son who likes to play games on this, but I concur). Brightness can be adjusted pretty high and moderately low. There’s also a night time setting which uses more reds over blue and is easier on the eyes.
It was quick and easy to set up, and came with many options/cords for plugging into the computer. We are using the DisplayPort. It looks fantastic, we love it! A great upgrade from our previous display. The photo should show the comparison in size with our 16.8” laptop.

Cheap plastic power button. I couldn't control the monitor.
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Jonathan Jones September 7, 2025Review source: AmazonI had it for a week, the power button broke in half. The plastic was so cheap it look like it came out of a gumball machine. I have three of these third gen panel and have never had this issue. Absolutely terrible. Thats why im waiting for the ASUS PG27AQWP_W.

Example of you get what you pay for
Incentivized Incentivized review: The reviewer received a benefit for sharing feedback.LoveTableTopGames September 5, 2025Review source: AmazonI recently built a new gaming system for about a grand in cost. I’m running a $250/27″ Samsung monitor from the big box store. I’ve not had any issues and have been enjoying playing the latest games at ultra-high resolution.
+ This monitor is gorgeous!
Everything is crisp, vibrant, and the images are super-duper smooth.+ The set-up out of the box was very easy and intuitive.
+ The quote from Jurassic Park, “Is it heavy? Then it’s expensive” applies here.
I’ve setup at least a half dozen other monitors and yes, most of the weight is in the base, but this is a more solid feeling, quality piece of hardware. The other monitors have been almost too light that I’m afraid any little bump, and they’ll stop working. You get what you pay for, and you’re paying for more, but you’re getting a lot more too.OVERALL:
Yes, this cost about what I paid to build my own PC, but it’s a wonderful, beautiful, responsive monitor. -
High quality picture, some build quality points to note
Incentivized Incentivized review: The reviewer received a benefit for sharing feedback.Chris September 4, 2025Review source: AmazonYou can read the specs on the product page – what you want to know is if this is the monitor for you?
My impression after a few days of using the monitor is that generally it’s solid for the intended purpose of a gaming and film-watching monitor. The picture is gorgeous (we already know Samsung makes good OLED panels), and the high refresh rate is nice compared to my older monitor which was locked at 60Hz. The monitor moves smoothly on its base, vertical or horizontally adjustable. And 27″ 16:9 is a sweet spot for desktops, and this monitor doesn’t have a large bezel to take up extra space.
So, where would I improve on this? First is value – its not a cheap monitor, sitting at the very top of the price range for OLED monitors at the time of this review. Is what it is offering worth it for you? It is among one of the best OLED screens I’ve seen at this size, so that might be important to you. Text is clear and sharp, and pictures pop.
What else? Well, that power brick – It’s a 120W brick and quite large. Does the monitor really draw 120W? No, but it does provide some power out of the USB ports, so I assume they are reserving some for that. But it’s not a lightweight in power-draw either – Typically consuming 40W-80W depending on brightness and refresh rate. Cost to run might be a consideration for you. But it’s not really out-of-line against other monitors either.
It’s a BRIGHT monitor – it puts out a lot of light. When HDR is enabled it can be blinding if you’re sitting close. It’s not the brightest I’ve seen, but it’s pretty good, and it keeps color accuracy and black levels while doing it. Nice trick.
Samsung does get me a bit heated however over the placement of the power and adjustment “joystick” – it’s rather hard to reach on the back, especially when the monitor is not on the desk edge. Reaching around involved getting up-close and personal with the screen.
And finally, Samsung needs to get more planet-friendly with their packaging – wrapping everything in non-recyclable materials is just a shame, and makes it harder to dispose of. It’s a shame. -
Super clear display with no reflection interrupting game play!
Incentivized Incentivized review: The reviewer received a benefit for sharing feedback.J Brad September 2, 2025Review source: AmazonI’m not an expert in video displays but the image presentation is very clear. I tested the display with my Xbox 360 and the clarity is a lot sharper than my previous display. My favorite feature is the matte finish that doesn’t reflect other objects in the room. I took pictures in front of my plasma tv to demonstrate the difference. The display does a good job with details on dark scenes making it easier to see what’s going on, something I struggle with a lot. I think my daughter plans on stealing it for her photo and video work for school. It comes with a sturdy stand that is adjustable for height and tilt for easy desk top placement. I can’t speak to the refresh rate which would be important for computer gaming, I never got interested in that type of game play. Overall a great display, something I expect from a Samsung product.

INCREDIBLE!
Incentivized Incentivized review: The reviewer received a benefit for sharing feedback.Mark Messmore September 1, 2025Review source: AmazonI’ve used computers for around 30 years now, and this is, BY FAR, the best, cleanest, and most feature-rich monitor I have ever owned. Setup was a snap, and my PC recognized the device right away. I will say that I had to spend a little bit of time on some of my games to get the per-application settings correct. However, once I got things dialed in, it has been a bright, beautiful experience. Just an incredible piece of equipment.
