For anyone that loves watching movies, plays games online and even when creating pesky Powerpoint presentation for work, this is truly a miracle worker for the colors. I was initially worried about the price of the monitor, but I am 100% sure you get your money worth with this monitor. The colors are vibrant and bright. The monitor itself can be used in a room with windows and there will not be an issue seeing what is on the monitor. The images are sharp.
My daughter decided that she wanted something for her games and this worked well for her. The response time is amazing and runs smoothly. She hasn’t had any complaints that she missed something due to a glitch. -

The colors are amazing though there are some features that I need to disable if possible. Sometimes the monitor will randomly turn off shortly after turning it on. I am also using it as my secondary monitor so it will auto dim if it does not detect that I am using it for a short period of time which is distracting. Aside from those two things, it has been a great monitor though it does not auto detect the input so be prepared to manually select that.

First, right out the box it is beautiful. It is easy to assemble and the instructions are very clear. It came with all of the cords I needed and then some! The speed on this thing is unbelievable, no lagging and smooth transitions thus far!
Samsung really outdid themselves with this and it really is worth every penny!

The assembly couldn’t be simpler and no tools are actually needed to put everything together. The base is very very heavy and once the monitor is attached there are a ton of different adjustment options. You can tilt it up and down, turn it from side to side, and even position the whole monitor higher or lower. When using and putting the monitor together everything feels very solid and well made. There is a right of rgb on the backside of the monitor which gives off a cool aesthetic and can be changed right in the settings menu. The menu is a bit tricky to navigate simply because there is only a power button/joystick to navigate through all of the options, but it works easily enough and is very intuitive. The 500hz refresh rate is pretty much future proofing this monitor for quite some time to come as well.

But, with my expensive video card, processor and motherboard, I use my desktop PC for spreadsheets, word processing and database applications. I like Flight Simulator and some other games in moderation and use photo editing software. That said, I am more than impressed with the performance of this Samsung monitor.
Assembly and setup are simple, build quality is as good as it gets and the display is excellent. All the relevant cables are included. For me, the most important aspect of evaluating this monitor is performance. Benchmarks are nice for the casual user but how it looks is the bottom line.
Color reproduction is excellent in games and other applications. Adjustments are made with a small joystick like button on the back of the monitor. Cable connections are clearly marked.
Brightness is unbelievable. You can crank it up to insane levels. Speed is fantastic and my avid gamer son drops repeated hints about how much he would like this monitor to be part of his rig. Sorry kiddo.

Fortunately, it also has a standard VESA mount, so you can use it with your favorite monitor arm. The screw holes are inset about a 1/4 inch, so if you have an oddly large mount plate, you might have trouble, but it worked with both of the mounts that I tried it with. The monitor is much thinner and lighter than my older 27″ monitor, so it should be compatible with a variety of mounts.
It has two HDMI inputs and one DisplayPort input, plus a USB hub port and two USB-A sockets, so you can use it as a hub to connect your keyboard and mouse.
The monitor does not have speakers, but does have a headphone jack that works well. The volume is easy to adjust: use the joystick control on the back and press down to bring up the volume control on the on-screen display, then left or right to decrease or increase the volume. This is SO much easier than just about every other computer monitor I’ve ever used.
The colors are very bright and vibrant, and the image quality is very sharp. I can’t speak to the refresh rate as I am not a serious gamer, but video is very smooth.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this monitor, although I wish I had splurged on the larger 4K version. -

Everything that I tested on this Monitor from watching from watching videos, playing games, and content creation (PowerPoint Slides, etc.) looks gorgeous. The colors are bright; even in a daylight lit room. And it’s easy on the eyes and it’s easy for me to focus on the content (especially with the thin frame edges!). The included base is solid and keeps the monitor securely in place. I also liked that the it allows me to tilt the monitor forward and back, and switch from landscape to portrait mode without any issues. As an added bonus is that there’s a silicone cable wrap on the back of the base to help tidy up the cables.
Setup was really easy. The parts are all very well laid out and the easy to understand setup guide is well written and diagrammed. Simple connect the base to the monitor, then connect the included power supply, then your video cord of choice (HDMI or DisplayPort, cables includes for both). The power button on the back is also a mini-joystick that allows for menu navigation. After you realize it’s there, it’s really easy to figure out. That menu system is used to select ports. VESA mounts are also available, but I like this base so much that I’m going to keep using it.
The only issue that I had was that this monitor accepts sound, so my computer automatically switched to it as an audio source, so I had to switch it back.
In the future, I might strongly consider getting a new soundbar for this monitor so that everything matches.

This monitor clocks up to a blazing 500Mhz refresh rate, it’s got a brilliant QD-OLED panel that has some gorgeous inky blacks and just colors in general, and it’s got speakers as well. The question of value is very much in the eye of the beholder but I think it’s one of the best of the best that you can get, if you’re so inclined.
Pros:

Pantone validated (it shows very accurate colors, 2,100 of them from Pantone and an additional 110 skin tone colors from Pantone’s library)

Nice heat pipes to help mitigate burn in risk

Display Stream Compression (DSC) seems necessary for 500Mhz (but it doesn’t bother me and isn’t noticeable from my use case)
Overall, this is an incredible monitor that has an outstanding picture, nice speakers, great features, and it has heat pipes to help prevent burn-in. It’s also incredibly bright with a supposed max of closer to 1,000 nits than not. I’d recommend this if you want to have an amazing gaming experience while being on the leading edge of technology.
