Curved Monitor for remote work use. The monitor was carefully installed and remained
stationary on the user’s desk, accumulating approximately 64 hours of use over eight days between December 2024 and July 2025. On July 25, 2025, the monitor experienced a sudden failure, emitting a loud “pop” and displaying a blacked-out section with visible lines, despite no physical impact or movement. Samsung support initially acknowledged the warranty claim and promised repair.However, days later, Samsung reversed its position, alleging the damage was due to “impact” based solely on a photograph, and demanded a $350 payment for repair services. My assertions that the monitor was never subjected to impact was dismissed, and the warranty claim was denied without a physical inspection of the device.
After multiple unsuccessful attempts to resolve the issue with Samsung, including
escalation to management, repeat requests for payment were continuously received. As
resolution wasn’t provided with the warranty claim being subsequently denied, a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) was filed in August 2025. -

Also, for the built-in speakers (which work with the USB-C cable as well), the volume is controlled directly from the monitor panel, not from the computer volume controls (at least in my case).
I think if you only need video, without the camera or the speakers, you are good to go with the HDMI (included) cable. -

I switched to one curved, large unit and… so much better. great value, you get used to the curve and end up loving the viewing angle, brightness is good but the response time and refresh rate along with the curve are what did it for me – it’s just a great monitor. Plug and play. Wish audio controls passed over the wire to the workstation, otherwise it’s great and since I didn’t buy it for that I’m not grading it on that.

I just had a horrible experience on this monitor. The screen went “liquid” under completely normal use. It was only 10 months old. Their warranty department informed me that they consider any internal component not working as internal physical damage and it is not covered. There was ZERO physical damage on my part, completely normal use. No moisture damage or anything. I was in the middle of an excel spreadsheet and a subtle pop sound, and the screen starts going bad. Zero impact or moisture. So their one year warranty is simply a lie and a gimmick to make you feel secure in your purchase. Buy LG or Dell. Do not by Samsung. I never will again.
