The curved display is very immersive which works great if you only use the display for yourself. If sharing the screen or looking at angles, i would consider a flat monitor. The 37″ is borderline too big for my application as I sit very close. I’m getting used to it and may consider mounting on the wall to get a little more distance. The only complaint would be some very minor flickering that has occurred mainly when watching partial screen in youtube. I think its related to the adaptive sync toggling refresh rates. Could also be my graphics card drivers. I’m not super tech savvy and only experienced this in partial screen in youtube. I’ll look more into it. Overall I’m happy. I wanted a decent 4k curved monitor that wouldn’t break the bank. The display looks great playing games and I’m happy with the purchase. Only reason for the 4 instead of 5 is the minor flickering observed which may or may not be a setting issue.

Nice but expensive LCD with some build quality concerns

I have another 50″ Samsung Odyssey as my main display and I love it, but it has been replaced once already and the second unit also had the main control board replaced later, all under warranty. When I got this 37″ Odyssey and started assembling it I discovered the stand’s locking mechanism was not working. In the photo that piece of metal that says “push” should be popped up – you push it in to release the mechanism if you need to take the stand apart, but in this state you can’t lock the stand into position. I ended up disassembling it to resolve it – the spring was sticking or it was getting caught on a small burr. Once this was resolved I have not had any further issues with the LCD. But that’s my concern here. Samsung’s quality control hasn’t been up to snuff multiple times now. The issues have all been resolved, and the warranty is there just in case, but this build quality bothers me and I docked a star.
Obviously this LCD is quite large with great resolution. You’ll need to have sufficient desk space so you can sit comfortably far enough away. On a smaller desk with 18-24″ of depth the LCD may feel too close and you have to turn your head to see everything. Color, brightness, and response is excellent – this is intended for gaming, and of course it has lighting in the back as well. There’s plenty of connectivity options including USB and headphone pass through for HDMI audio. My only complaint (aside from the quality concern above) is I wish they kept the height the same as the Odyssey 50″ displays so you could use them side by side. Instead, this one is 19″ and significantly taller than the 50″‘s 14.5″ – it just looks weird next to each other.

It took less than 5 minutes to attach the stand to the very sturdy base, snap it on and set the Samsung 37” Odyssey G75 up on my desk. I do wish the power brick wasn’t so bulky and was at the end of the cord instead of in the middle of it though. The included DP cable and HDMI cable are a plus; and on the back and easily reachable, it has 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, a DP 1.4 port, a USB-B port, a USB-A port, and a headphone jack. A USB-C would have been nice to have. And don’t look for built-in speakers because there are none. The stand is adjustable height, and it swivels and tilts, but the monitor comes ready with bracket on the back so it can be mounted on a 100×100 VESA mount if that’s your preference.
Now between the 16.9 aspect ratio, 4K resolution, and 165Hz 1ms refresh rate, the graphics and images look fantastic in gaming! And it doesn’t matter if I’m playing them on the PS5, Xbox or PC, the picture quality is consistently good. The curved screen gives you an enhanced sense of immersion when playing. Movies and videos look great too. A thing to note is that a curved screen this size is probably best viewed a little ways off (at least 3 feet, I’d say) and straight on for the ultimate viewing experience. A couple of cool features are that the monitor has PIP capability and Auto Source Switch so you can display at the same time or automatically switch between two connected devices.
Overall, it has a few minor drawbacks like the awkward power brick/cord, no internal speakers, and the lack of a USB-C. But aside from that, I think the 37” Odyssey G75F solidly qualifies as a high quality gaming monitor with excellent picture quality and refresh rate.

I’ve had nothing like it prior to picking this up and it was well worth it! The color spectrum this monitor has is amazing, blacks are much darker on this than any LCD/Plasma/LED screen I’ve had in the past. the same goes for the whites too. The performace I’ve had is as advertised, rock solid, extrremely fast response/refresh rate, makes it look crisp and highly detailed. For the price, you won’t be disappointed with the many options for connections, graphics, refresh rate, everything is top notch and sure to catch your attention once you see it for yourself. Grab it!

One I work from home and have vestibular issues. I read that sometimes curved screens can help with vestibular issues and it helped me. I have been working on this monitor for a couple weeks now and have seen a decrease in how dizzy or off balance I feel. Been very helpful in that sense.
I also got it for gaming will say Xbox, PS5, or PC the graphics are crystal clear. The curved screen does actually allow you to see more going on around you and the FPS is stable.I would recommend this monitor.
