Awful quality, awful warranty service – not what I expected from a brand like Samsung

When I buy a name brand gaming monitor from a manufacturer like Samsung, I’m expecting everything to work flawlessly, but that was not the case here. It would randomly flicker off, sometimes a couple of times a day, sometimes once every few minutes. When this issue occurs, it would stay off for 2-3 seconds at a time. This is completely unacceptable/unusable for anyone who is playing any sort of real-time games, where timing is critical. Correction: this is simply unacceptable in general, anyone who paid $500 for a monitor should not be putting up with this type of quality.
Worse yet, the quality of the warranty service is plain awful. Samsung outsources to very unreliable warranty service providers, who are unresponsive, & who subcontracts to people who can’t keep a repair schedule to save their lives. To this day, my monitor remains unfixed.
I bought this monitor because of a sale during Prime Day, I suspect Samsung simply wanted to offload poor-quality inventory as part of the sale. I will definitely be seeking alternative brands when I refresh my monitor. This is the worst monitor I’ve ever purchased.

It has a “Smart Hub” that is stupid, both in conception and execution.. It has a ton of useless apps. Apps on a monitor! This is not a cell phone, it is a monitor and the apps are useless.. And the Smart Hub can not remember what it is doing. When the computer goes to screen saver, the monitor shuts down and has to be restarted manually.
The display-port is also flawed is some way. When the computer went to sleep, the DP disconnected and could not be restarted. The only to bet it back was to reboot the computer. Samsung’s response was that the cable was bad so they sent me a new POWER cable to replace to DP cable. Ten days wasted to delay the possibility of return to piece of junk.
I delayed returning because of Amazon slow walking of return and now the return window is closed or I would return this junk. DO NOT BUY.
