Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Stunning Visual Performance: The 4K Quantum Mini-LED display provides vibrant colors, high brightness, and deep blacks that many reviewers compare favorably to OLED technology, making it excellent for HDR content.
  • Excellent Gaming Features: With a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and HDMI 2.1 support, it delivers a smooth and immersive experience for both high-end PC rigs and next-gen consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
  • Versatile Hybrid Functionality: It successfully bridges the gap between a high-end gaming monitor and a Smart TV, featuring built-in streaming apps, decent integrated speakers, and a convenient remote control for media consumption.

Cons

  • Frustrating Software Interface: The Tizen OS is frequently described as slow, laggy, and overly complex, with users particularly annoyed by the lack of a dedicated input-switching button on the remote.
  • Persistent Connectivity Bugs: Users report significant issues with the monitor failing to wake from sleep, losing signals on DisplayPort, and experiencing random flickering or artifacts that often require a hard reset.
  • Noticeable Motion Artifacts: As a VA panel, it suffers from ghosting and black smearing during fast-paced scenes or when scrolling through text, and the viewing angles can cause color shifting at the edges of the large screen.

This monitor is great!! I use it to play single player video games mostly and I have not had any issues with ghosting after messing with my gpu settings. The colors look amazing.

    Horrible colors, dimming, and ghosting.
Where do I begin? How about, I’ve used IPS panels most of my life, and thought even though this is a VA panel with MiniLED it may be similar in quality to what I’m used to. Nope, not even close, returned it and bought an IPS panel instead.

I’m using this as my desk monitor at work. I’ve got a m3 macbook pro, connecting to this monitor via usb-c to 2.1 display port cable.

My use case is mostly text based activities such as writing code and doing research. I don’t need it for video or photo editing, other than text I’m mostly looking at graphs and analytics reporting. The color, contrast, brightness and black levels are solid. Text is very clear and readable at the highest resolution with space for all of my windows to be displayed concurrently. Overall I’m very satisfied with this as a large monitor.

I’ve mixed feelings about this product. It comes highly rated, even on YouTube videos. But…when mine arrived, it was missing the power cord, so I had to run out and buy one just so I could use it. Then, when my desk mount arrived, I had to order a special adapter plate for $50. Nowhere in the product description does it say the monitor isn’t VESA compatible.

  5. Flawless Dual-Monitor Setup for Work & Play

    Review source: Amazon

I purchased two of these Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 monitors for my home office, and they’ve exceeded every expectation. The 4K clarity is stunning whether I’m coding, writing documents, or gaming – text appears razor-sharp and colors pop with the Quantum Matrix technology. The 144Hz refresh rate makes everything buttery smooth, especially when gaming after hours.

What impresses me most is their versatility:
    • Productivity powerhouse with ample screen real estate
    • Gaming beast with 1ms response and FreeSync Premium Pro
    • Stellar HDR performance for media consumption

The slim bezels create an immersive dual-screen experience, and the smart features add convenience. After months of daily use across work and entertainment, I’ve had zero regrets – just consistent, premium performance. For professionals who game or creatives needing color accuracy, these are worth every penny.

  6. Bad Software on a Decent HDMI 2.1 Gaming Monitor

I have been using this monitor for over a year TV, PS5/XSX/Switch gaming, and as a monitor. I like the picture quality and size. The UI and interface of the Samsung smart TV is one of the worst user experiences I’ve ever had and further updates have just made it slower and worse. It’s seems designed to default to select ads at the top so Samsung can collect pennies when you accidentally click on something. There’s nothing to change Input on the remote, which is bonkers. USB audio out can get a popping sound until I change audio modes. If you ever plan on using as a TV, avoid this monitor unless you have an AppleTV or similar to use.

  7. Motion is too blurry for monitor

No way to get around the massive black smear. Format, size, and color were all very nice, until you start game and in anything with some black items or dark scenes that pan, it simply looks blurry due to black smear. I tried all the settings recommended by various reviews and videos, and none of them helped.

No movement on screen, and looks great, then you move and everything turns blurry like your glasses are out of focus.

  8. It is a television, not a computer monitor.

    Review source: Amazon

TLDR: A nice, but expensive, 4K *television* with a DisplayPort input for a computer.

Summary: The key thing to know is this is a television with a bit of an extra: a DisplayPort input for your computer.
Since HDMI will also handle 4K and most PCs have an HDMI output, it is worth asking why choose this option?
Before buying, compare this TV’s specs and price to other televisions.
Don’t let the “Smart Gaming Monitor” description fool you.

    The description says:
    Refresh Rate: 144 hertz
    Resolution: 4K UHD 2160p
    Response Time: 1 milliseconds

You’re paying a lot extra for that 144 hertz instead of 60.
And if you really want 144 hertz, I just saw a Visio 50″ for less than this.

Bottom line: It’s a good television that can be used for some gaming, but know what you’re getting and don’t get tricked by them calling this a “monitor.”
