Pros & Cons
Pros
- Immersive Ultrawide Experience: The 49-inch screen with a 1000R curve provides an unparalleled immersive experience for gaming and effectively replaces multi-monitor setups. Users appreciate the massive screen real estate that allows for seamless multitasking without the distraction of bezels.
- High-End Performance Specs: With a 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time, the monitor delivers buttery-smooth visuals that are ideal for competitive gaming. The DQHD resolution ensures that text and graphics remain sharp, making it a powerful tool for both play and professional productivity.
- Versatile Multitasking Features: The Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) options are highly praised for allowing users to display multiple inputs simultaneously. This is particularly valued by traders and office workers who need to manage several applications or computers at once.
Cons
- Reliability and Power Failures: A significant number of reviewers reported the monitor suddenly dying or failing to power on after only a few months of use. Many users experienced these failures shortly after the one-year warranty expired, leading to frustrations over repairability and product longevity.
- Quality Control Issues: Many units arrived with or developed defects such as dead pixels, horizontal scan lines, and significant backlight bleed. Some customers had to go through multiple exchanges before receiving a unit that met acceptable quality standards.
- Design and Ergonomic Flaws: The included stand is noted for being extremely large and deep, consuming a significant amount of desk space. Additionally, the port placement is criticized for being difficult to access and requiring cables to be bent at awkward angles to fit.

Amazing… but
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Connor McKenzy Hall May 26, 2024Review source: AmazonTo be straight, this screen is absolutely amazing. I’ve never played on a screen where, if you’re close enough, the curve allows your entire peripherals to be consumed and you can see EVERYTHING. Great 5120x1440p on pretty much every game and video.
What I didn’t realize is that I would have to upgrade my cables and PC to be able to handle this. I play VR from PC, and can’t have the HDMI from VR, DisplayPort to G9, DisplayPort to 24” Sceptre monitor, and DisplayPort to 20” Sceptre monitor Because of the massive graphical requirements.
Pay attention to this detail if purchasing. I won’t drop the screens rating due to that though, because that a user end issue.

Would not recommend
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.Kolton May 21, 2024Review source: AmazonMonitor worked great for a little over a month, then while in the middle of use it just turned itself off and won’t turn back on again. I’ve tried every troubleshooting method under the sum, but ultimately it just appears that something shorted in the monitor and it won’t receive any kind of power delivery. I’ve been going back and forth with Samsung for a fix. They said they’d send a technician to repair it for free under manufacturers warranty. I waited a week and then the technician said they could get the parts in to repair it, and that Samsung would follow up in another 2-4 days with an alternative option. I paid close to a thousand for a monitor I got 1 months of use out of, and now it’s just a massive paperweight. If I could go back, I would take the FPS drop and go with something that seems more reliable, like the Innocn or LG ultra wides.

Incredible imagine quality and refresh rate
Nick from St. Louis May 19, 2024Review source: AmazonI’m a competitive gamer and use this monitor for FPS e-sports. The 240hz refresh rate with gsync support and VRR built in is incredibly responsive and exhibits virtually zero ghosting. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who is a serious gamer. I also am an IT engineer by trade and use this monitor all day M-F as my primary display. It has ample room to accommodate all my various screens as I multitask and has never let me down.
