There’s a lot of features on here that aren’t usually part of a monitor, like being able to manually set the refresh rate, turning G-Sync on and off, being able to set the inputs manually or auto-switch, and choosing colour balance. While it may have been in the description, I was surprised to see that there’s speakers attached which can be useful for just quick and dirty audio if necessary. The headphone jack is more useful in this scenario.
The only strange choice Samsung made: when setting the display mode to TV from PC the response time drops dramatically. I was using my Apple TV and the text blurred badly when scrolling until I changed it back to PC mode.

This monitor works great for that. I wish I would’ve looked deeper into the specs as I don’t see a max resolution listed. I assumed it would be higher than the standard 1920, but it’s not. However, it’s fine and perfect for what I wanted it for. It would be cool to get some more data on the screen, but for my wants, this works well. I would recommend this if you’re fine with 1920. If you want to 4k, this is not for you.
I’ve purchased 3 of these monitors, mainly because I like the 180hz. I can see and feel the difference, it’s a lot smoother than 60hz. The third one I purchased was an open box, box was damaged and the inside packaging secured with rubber bands, missing documentation and protective film, so I’m returning it. I’m just picky with things like when I’m purchasing “new” items. I opted for the larger used 32” since it was less than the 27”.
I get the 32”, packaged well, just missing the cable that goes from the wall to ac box. Not a big deal, I had an extra one. I like the bigger size. Again, these aren’t 4k, but still great monitors for 2k. Can’t beat the price.

I’m using this in a hybrid work/gaming role so in this review I’ll talk about both.
Setup – super simple. Power it up and connect the video signal, that’s it. I connected this to a newer MacBook and the monitor was recognized right out of the box. No additional configuration necessary other than modifying the monitor settings to suit your taste or preferences.
Picture – Outstanding, colors are bright and vibrant. Response in lightning quick, even in fast scrolling games or watching videos with a ton of motion.
Additional features – Great. physically the stand and setup are sturdy and secure but it comes with some neat features for gaming like the aiming point which will save you from putting a sticker on your monitor while playing FPS games.
Cost – it’s affordable and even cheap for the quality that you get here. I’d say it’s a 5 star buy at this price
