So I purchased the Sony 50″ thinking I was upgrading. The TV itself is okay, I am not a Tecky and I think today’s entertainment comes with too much unnecessary info, however the reason I am not giving this TV a better rating is because I purchased an open box excellent condition from Best Buy (BB) and they sent me via UPS delivery an open box in trash condition. After carrying it up the stairs, unboxing it and setting it up I found out the horrible condition (see picture attached). After several irate calls to BB, I found out they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I wound up having to purchase the TV again and returning the trash one (wait on my refund which took weeks). BB never provided any legitimate support and showed very little concern. TV is okay for the price, but BB has no quality control and very very poor customer service. Also in this day and time of profit over performance, I am sure they don’t care.
