We love how we can set it to a normal volume and hear both the quiet scenes and loud scenes clearly and without discomfort or frustration. All previous TVs made us increase the volume a quite bit to hear soft/quiet scenes clearly, but then the loud scenes would be much too loud while we scrambled to get the remote and turn it down again. With this Sony Bravia 3, we can hear most things with a volume setting of only 5 (out of a possible 100!) if we have others in the house studying or sleeping. We have never had to elevate the sound above 25 even if there is other competing noise in the house or outside. The picture quality is wonderful, too. We no longer have to close the drapes to watch because the TV is crystal clear in spite of any glare from outside. Scenes that show space and stars are like looking up into a dark sky on a clear night. Now we are getting a 55-inch for the bedroom!

I may buy the same TV, but in-person this time, instead of having it shipped. What sucks is, I donated my used tv to a group home prior to discovering the damage. Now I have no TV over the Holidays.
