Great picture but that's about it

This one is no different with that. A few weeks before I purchased this 50″, I purchased a 32 Bravia” for my bedroom. The sound quality on the 32″ is far superior that this 50″. This 50″ sounds very tinny; aweful. No problem as I was going to connect to my very nice LG soundbar I already had. Nope the Bravia 50″ just would not consistently interface. Sometimes it worked but most of the time it did not. The soundbar worked great on previous Bravia 50″ and on every other TV I have. This is a very finicky TV. Sometime I have to redo the settings because they change all on thier own. One time the screen completely froze and the only way to get it going again was to unplug the TV and wait a while. Overall very disappointed.

After calibration the picture is beautiful for the money spent , It’s no where near the Bravia 7 picture quality but to be expected at a much higher price with lots of bells and whistles. If your on a budget I think the sony Bravia 3 is best option. My mom loves her new Sony and has it on every day watching all her shows enjoying her retirement! Best Buy is my favorite place to shop they stand behind their products and are very knowledgeable when your in store looking for something to buy !

The new one was fast to set up, and since the old one had been associated with our Google account most of the login data and favorites, etc. were automatically transferred. The new TV is much faster loading apps and more responsive generally. Nice bright picture.
We wall mount the TV and the vertical location of the mounting holes on the back of the set were several inches lower requiring an adjustment to our mount. Fortunately we had enough adjustment range in our existing mount.
