If this is your first 4k tv i highly recommend it and it works great for video games. Don’t expect anything grand like an OLED or QLED you get what you pay for but this is truly a great tv for you. In my honest opinion i believe it works best in dark rooms/ environments. The brightness isnt the best. If you really want the colors and brightness to pop just spend more on a QLED or OLED.
