Vitamix Ascent X2 Blender

I’m not a blender guru. I’m an average blender user, the kind of person who’s had twenty-buck blenders all her life and thought a ninja was fancy business. But this past year, I’ve had to go on a liquid diet for medical reasons, and doc recommended investing in a better blender. I’ll admit that I thought all blenders created equal. I was wrong.

The Vitamix is better. Even as a complete blender neophyte, I felt the differences instantly between my ninja and the Vitamix (pictured side by side). Here are the highlights:

– Motor. You know that feeling of awe you get when you climb into a whisper-quiet car after driving your clunker for decades? Yeah. That’s what I experienced when first turning on the Vitamix for a self-cleaning cycle. It’s not “quiet” (it’s a blender, after all), but it *sounds* powerful without being obnoxious.

– Self-cleaning. It works. Attached is a video of the self-cleaning cycle running after I made some almond milk. The thing that impressed me the most is the programming that makes the speed vary at different points in the cycle. Also, that I didn’t have to scrub the inside of this thing and worry about catching my fingers on the blades.

– Quality. My almond milk tasted delicious. Creamier, thicker, smoother. Made a curry the next day — came out perfectly textured. No fuss. Ran the self-cleaning cycle afterward, rinsed, and dried. SO easy.

– Size. The base is huge (makes sense; it holds a monster motor) but the design is flawless enough to still clear the cabinets, allowing me to place this on my countertop permanently.

– Tamper. My husband was amazed that I could stick plastic in there without eating plastic in my smoothie later. It’s the perfect length to tamp down all the way without touching the blade. Genius.

I feel like I just got a Rolls-Royce after driving a Mustang. I thought the Mustang was cool, but I just didn’t know what I was missing out on. If you have the budget and will get your mileage out of this blender, do it. If you’re on a liquid diet and need to convince your taste buds to get with the program, this is the blender that can convince them. I’m actually excited to try out different recipes and put this blender to different settings. Godspeed.

I am an owner of an original Vitamix that I bought from a demo that I saw in Costco years ago almost 10 ago years to be exact. I used it all the time and it was a fantastic product. The power of these motors are unmatched.

So I was really excited to try out this new version. It improves on one of the only drawbacks of the original style Vitamix, the design of the pitcher. The original one that I owned had a steep, narrow design that that made cleaning it out difficult and storage difficult as well as it took up a lot of space in my appliance cabinet.

This new stubby pitcher works perfectly in my kitchen. I found it incredibly easy to clean after using the self cleaning function and to dry out. The whole device now fits underneath my cabinets if I want to keep it on my countertop for daily use. But it also fits inside of my appliance cabinet, which is a huge plus.

The motor on the device, of course is unmatched in this category of blenders. It’s simply the best around and it can’t be beat. It grinds up frozen fruit and ice with ease and creates a blend for a smoothie that a more budget brand cannot match. I own a smaller Ninja blender and it was perfect when I just wanted a protein shake but, couldn’t handle breaking up frozen fruit or ice very well. This Vitamix does the job and all in less than a minutes time.

One thing I do want a note is that these blenders are loud and do create quite a lot of noise while they work as you can see in my video. Thankfully, they work quickly.

So far in a few weeks that I’ve owned the Vitamix I have gotten into the habit of making my daughter smoothies every morning for breakfast, which she absolutely loves. It’s also a great way to sneak some greens to your kids diet as I blend some spinach up along with yogurt and fruit. I used the Vitamix to make salsa and blend fresh tomatoes for spaghetti sauce both turned out great.

It’s easy to recommend a Vitamix. They are absolutely fantastic devices and a must have for any kitchen if you can afford one. The great thing about a brand like this is you can trust in it lasting a long time. They’re a built so well, this things a tank. I have all the confidence in the world that this blender will last for years and years and will run just as well as it does today as it will decade from now.

I use this every day! Finally a blender that can truly blend ANYTHING. Today, I made my own peanut butter and it has the perfect, creamy consistency. Easy to clean and operate. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to use it for multipurpose use!

I feel very blessed to have received this blender through the Amazon Vine Program. It’s absolutely amazing. This is replacing a budget friendly brand of high speed blender that I have been using for the past couple of years. I make smoothies several times per week, and use it for other things like soups, purees, sauces, etc. less often.
First thing I noticed upon unboxing is the build quality and how much heavier the base is compared to my older blender. And then after using it for many smoothies over the past few weeks, I have “witnessed the whirl” and found it to be so powerful, efficient and thorough at mixing up my crazy blends. It pulverizes carrots, ginger, seeds and anything else I throw at it. The presets are nice and easy, and so is cleanup (I generally just give it a quick wash at the sink but you can also run a blend cycle with some soapy water).
The lid took a tiny bit of adjustment for me, as it is a rigid plastic and I’ve always had a flexible rubber type lid. But that’s no biggie. Also the included silicone sleeve to slide onto the handle slips a little bit (but not off the handle) again not a biggie. The real thing that matters is the performance.
And it performs mightily. I can’t wait for the weather to cool down into soup season so I can try that function, as well as nut butter.
I wish there was a smoothie cup attachment, like on my older blender, but the superior performance more than makes up for not having that option.
Vitamix isn’t cheap, but if you use a blender often and can squeeze it out of your budget, this Vitamix blows the competition out of the water.

This thing did not work!! I think i got shipped something someone else sent back. After taking pictures and looking at it, I see its all scuffed up, it looks used and worn. The video is after 3 tries this is the 4th time in a row that i tried to make this smoothie and i got nothing!!….for $586 are they crazy!! sending back ASAP….done with Vitamix. The thing that really makes me angry is that now I have to get in an uber ($40) to take this thing to UPS to ship it back. I am too through!

After going through several machines, I finally found the one! It blends flawlessly.

My mother has been asking me for years why we don’t get a Vitamix – she blends everything. We always thought it was a bit silly to blend everything in sight and been only occasionally dabbling with lesser brands and sporadic blends.
Getting this thing now (shoutout to mom) I actually kinda get it. The one striking thing is the quality of this power train – at that moment you instantly believe the claim on the box “Vitamix blenders last up to 10x longer than the average blender”.

The additional features are a bit of fluff but are the car equivalent of leather seats and 360 camera: Self cleaning, tamper, base, hot blending etc – they all work and will be there waiting for us for when we elevate our blending game a bit.

We inaugurated it with margarita’s that got compliments from our guests. Cocktails are an easy thing to get good at and this is a force multiplier – an expensive one at that but if you are reading this it may be time to give it a go.

For comparison with past Vitamix offers I can only attest that it is as sturdy and strong as all my mom’s old ones if not more. Can less compare to the modern lineup.

So to summarize: all in all, this blender delivers on that hype. My initial skepticism about sticking everything in the blender has shifted. It truly performs as advertised, and the build quality alone sets it apart from competition. Paying those $ to supercharge your blending and get a reliable kitchen tool that’ll stick with you for years possibly makes sense. Blend the good blend my comrades.

The Vitamix Ascent X2 Blender is better than any blender I have ever owned for many reasons. First off, has to be, being backed by a 10 year warranty. Here is a list of what I like about Ascent X2.

– Powerful and blends with a vortex from the shape of the container, keeps mixing everything well.
– Simple features, very few choices of programs and 1-10 variable speeds.
– The container is simple to use. no lining up things for it to work. Lids snaps on, set blender on base.
– Cleaning feature, fill container half full of warm water add 1 drop of soap run clean cycle, rinse.
– Looks great.

I really like how easy it is to use. No lining up lids and the container in a special way to make it work. Snap the lid on the top how ever you want and set the blender on the base however you want. Choose a speed or a program. Change speeds while blending by turning the dial. Programs include cleaning, Smoothie, Frozen desert and Hot soup.
I am happy to finally have a blender that can blend hot liquids, my last blender and food processor could not which apparently is very common.
All parts are dishwasher safe and the rubber pad on the base that the container sits on is removable for cleaning. I can’t see using the dishwasher very often as easy as it is to clean with the clean cycle, which I think is 35 seconds.
The container is 48 ounces, the lid has a removable center for adding ingredients and has a built in 1 ounce measuring cup. The Ascent X2 also comes with a tamper for moving thick mixtures around to keep them moving. The blender will blend without the lid but you should not. The X2 blender will also protect itself from over heating.
Overall I think the Ascent X2 blender works better than other blenders I have used and the Simplicity of use and clean up make this worth the money and a blender that could be the last blender I will ever own. It looks, feels and operates like a professional machine.

This blender is something else. It looks so sleek and stylish on my countertop and it goes great with stainless steel appliances.

It’s super simple to operate and everything’s digital, so you don’t have to babysit it or hold any buttons down manually. I’ve even put carrots in this thing and juiced them completely, which I love.

I had actually bought a juicer earlier this year, but I hate how I have to babysit it and feed it carrots by hand. With this blender, I can just chop them up, put them in, and let it do its thing. It’s that strong!! Plus, I don’t waste any of the fiber or vegetables in the process.

I can’t wait to start making soups with this in the wintertime as it gets cold. You can even make delicious acai bowls with this.

The self-cleaning option is awesome, and I haven’t had the need to scrape any blades by hand yet.

If you’re on the fence about this and wondering if it’s worth the investment, it definitely is. Plus, you get a 10-year warranty. Even large appliances don’t give you that, so that tells you this thing is a powerhouse built to last.
