- Convenient Self-Cleaning Function: The dedicated cleaning cycle allows users to clean the jar quickly using just warm water and a drop of soap, which many reviewers find saves time and encourages more frequent daily use.
- Durable Build and Long Warranty: The machine is described as a sturdy, professional-grade 'beast' built to last for decades, supported by an industry-leading 10-year warranty that justifies the initial investment.
Cons

- Premium Price Point: Many customers find the blender to be a significant financial investment, noting it is much more expensive than basic or mid-market alternatives, which may not suit casual users.
- Reliability and Sensing Issues: Some users experienced technical failures, including motors breaking within months, units overheating during thick blends, or the base failing to detect the jar on the unit.

Incredible quality blender. It's super powerful, blends perfectly, and is very easy to clean!
Cody October 3, 2024Review source: AmazonThis Vitamix blender is really top notch! There’s a reason this brand is so popular. It’s totally perfect for both everyday kitchen use and to use professionally. It’s super powerful and can handle pretty much anything from smoothies to soups. Plus, it has some cool features like self-cleaning and preset programs that have been very useful. I utilize the smoothie setting quite often. It’s also super easy to throw all the components into the dishwasher for cleaning after use. It’s a bit pricier than other blenders, but in my opinion it’s totally worth the investment if you’re serious about blending. Other blenders I’ve used in the past with fibrous veggies like kale, for example, couldn’t blend them into a completely smooth liquid like this Vitamix can. Overall, I think this is a fantastic choice for anyone who wants a high-quality, versatile blender. I’m very happy with mine!

The power is unbelievable.
PeterT October 3, 2024Review source: AmazonWe have a large Breville blender that we use for all blending needs; to include smoothies. Loved the Breville until now. The only drawback on the Breville is that our smoothies were not totally smooth. Enter the Vitamix Ascent X2.
WOW, just wow. We have made 10-20 smoothies so far with the X2. I basically freeze everything and keep it on hand in the freezer. When I make smoothies now, I can go directly from freezer to the blender without worrying if I am asking too much of the X2. Nothing stops this beast.
I no longer have to use ice cubes to make COLD smoothies. This blender handles all frozen solids no matter what it is. It even self-cleans. Very, very pleased with my X2.

Still the King!
Denver_BD October 2, 2024Review source: AmazonWe are long time Vitamix users. We are coming from the 6300 to this X2. The new X2 digital display now shows how long a preset cycles has remaining — a nice touch.
We noticed this model definitely quieter than the older one.
The form factor of the X2 is shorter than the 6300 with the included containers – probably by about 5-inchs (see picture) making it easier to slide under cabinets than previous gens. The X2 would be more in line with the low-profile container options.
We think it looks fabulous in white – a nice modern/sleek look. It makes it a nice statement piece on the countertop… and since ours is used so frequently that we always have it out.
It mixes very well — the design of the container/blades works magic to pull everything towards the center and get a nice homogenous mix. The X2 has four presets and the same 10 blend speeds. It retains the pulse and “on/off” buttons.
You cannot go wrong with Vitamix. The motor will power through anything and lasts forever. The super high-speed even lets you heat soup – it spins so fast that the associated friction creates heat. Amazing. Cleaning is very easy — fill with water, add a drop of soap, and operate. Sparkling clean with minimal effort.
This brand and appliance will remain mainstays in our kitchen.

Amazing Blender
Rf1comp October 1, 2024Review source: AmazonI got this blender to be able to do fruit smoothie. We have another brand that my wife uses for her refried beans.
This is the first Vitamix that I have used and this blender is Amazing. I love the self cleaning mode, as well as the option for different speeds. I also like how the container sits on the machine, it reminds me of those that they use at Starbuck. The size of the container works best for me, as I am never doing large drinks. But you can really tell that this is a professional style blender. Everything screams quality. I look forward to many years of use. -
I never knew having a nicer blender actually makes smoothies taste better
Tim P. September 28, 2024Review source: AmazonI knew Vitamix was the king of blenders from years working in coffee shops. Across the industry, Vitamixes are standard equipment. They’re durable and rugged powerhouses that will blend anything that can be blendded. They are built like a tank, you can get spare parts for decades and they’re simple and utilitarian and amazing.
But at home? I’ve always settled for a mid-market option, maybe in the $125 range. I don’t make 100 smoothies a day at home, so I don’t need the best blender available, right? I mean, a smoothie is a smoothie… WELL. Let me tell you. We decided to spoil ourselves and upgrade, and I am absolutely shocked. I never realized this before, but you know how a good coffee shop smoothie just tastes so much better than the one you make at home? IT’S THE BLENDER! The smoothie we get out of this blender is just so much more smooth than the one from our previous blender. Seriously, I was happy with our old blender right up until I made my same smoothie recipe in the new blender. Hemp hearts, pumpkin seeds, no problem at all, it’s like they’re not even there. I am so impressed! -
Smaller quieter and just as good as it’s bigger sibling
Lisa Yang September 27, 2024Review source: AmazonFive years apart, this new vitamix is a step up in every way. It’s much more compact and space saving. I like that and I’d be happy to give up capacity for being able to be stored anywhere. It’s also got a quieter motor that performs just as good. And then there’s the redesigned front which takes some getting used to but makes life so much easier. Want a smoothie? Switch it to the smoothie setting. Press and forget it. Want to pulse, easy just turn to the speed you want and start pulsing.
Vitamix is always and forever the best blender brand I’ve ever used. This new one just makes it more up to date and more convenient.

"Assembled" in the USA (not made) Crazy overpriced, but quite powerful.
G. Hearn September 26, 2024Review source: AmazonThis is a crazy powerful… and albeit crazy expensive blender. This is my first foray into the Vitamix world. I use it in a residential school environment where we have a student café and offer a variety of mostly frozen drinks. It works much better than our last blender, which would sometimes “freeze-up”.
Because the plunger fits on a holder on the side; it fits under most cabinets.
This model comes with a 48oz container. Additional size containers are sold separately.
This blender is “assembled” in the USA. This means that the actual parts are probably made in China, or elsewhere. So at the current price of 550…. It’s at least twice the price it should be. It’s good… but not 550 good.

Impressive – review from a casual blender user
Emily September 25, 2024Review source: AmazonI’m not a blender guru. I’m an average blender user, the kind of person who’s had twenty-buck blenders all her life and thought a ninja was fancy business. But this past year, I’ve had to go on a liquid diet for medical reasons, and doc recommended investing in a better blender. I’ll admit that I thought all blenders created equal. I was wrong.
The Vitamix is better. Even as a complete blender neophyte, I felt the differences instantly between my ninja and the Vitamix (pictured side by side). Here are the highlights:
– Motor. You know that feeling of awe you get when you climb into a whisper-quiet car after driving your clunker for decades? Yeah. That’s what I experienced when first turning on the Vitamix for a self-cleaning cycle. It’s not “quiet” (it’s a blender, after all), but it *sounds* powerful without being obnoxious.
– Self-cleaning. It works. Attached is a video of the self-cleaning cycle running after I made some almond milk. The thing that impressed me the most is the programming that makes the speed vary at different points in the cycle. Also, that I didn’t have to scrub the inside of this thing and worry about catching my fingers on the blades.
– Quality. My almond milk tasted delicious. Creamier, thicker, smoother. Made a curry the next day — came out perfectly textured. No fuss. Ran the self-cleaning cycle afterward, rinsed, and dried. SO easy.
– Size. The base is huge (makes sense; it holds a monster motor) but the design is flawless enough to still clear the cabinets, allowing me to place this on my countertop permanently.
– Tamper. My husband was amazed that I could stick plastic in there without eating plastic in my smoothie later. It’s the perfect length to tamp down all the way without touching the blade. Genius.
I feel like I just got a Rolls-Royce after driving a Mustang. I thought the Mustang was cool, but I just didn’t know what I was missing out on. If you have the budget and will get your mileage out of this blender, do it. If you’re on a liquid diet and need to convince your taste buds to get with the program, this is the blender that can convince them. I’m actually excited to try out different recipes and put this blender to different settings. Godspeed.

I'm a believer
dd3 September 24, 2024Review source: AmazonReview of Vitamix Ascent X2 Blender, Professional-Grade, 3 Preset Blending Programs, 48-ounce Container, Self-Cleaning, Polar White
Condition: Flawless. Every component is perfect. I usually break the evaluation down part by part but there’s little point. Everything is in absolutely pristine condition.
This is my first Vitamix. I’ve resisted getting one for years because I really did not see the need for a high-powered blender in my life. I was so very wrong.
I’ve seen them on websites and videos and friends of ours have one and while it looked useful and interesting I still wasn’t convinced. We’re primarily plant-based so I’ve made nut milks and soy milk and cashew cream but I was concerned that I was over-taxing my food processor and immersion blender. So when this became available through Vine I though why not-give it a try.
Oh. My. Goodness. This thing is fantastic.
First, it’s solid. The base is heavy, it has nice pads on the bottom so it stays put. It’s sleek and easy to clean. The jar is likewise thick and heavy. The lid is easy to place and remove yet it stays put. There’s a bracket and cup to hold the tamper. The controls are intuitive and uncluttered. There are three preset programs-smoothies, frozen desserts and hot soup plus a cleaning program. There’s a pulse button and speeds from 1-10 plus the on/pause switch. The power switch is on the side at the base.
I can’t say how the Ascent series compares to the rest of the Vitamix family and this one is the simplest one but there’s nothing about it that isn’t top-of-the-line.
Never having used one before, it gets your attention. It’s loud: 88db right next to it and it was still 65db in the next room. When it ramps up to level 10 you’re convinced it’s going to take off but the pads make sure the unit stays in one place. It’s not shy about showcasing its power. The timer counts up on the speed settings and down on the programs.
Now as to the function. We don’t drink smoothies. But being mostly plant-based I wanted to make cashew cream for coffee. I’ve done it with the immersion blender but it took forever, needed straining and was still a bit gritty. I did soak the cashews in advance but in two minutes (literally) I had the smoothest, sweetest cashew cream I’ve ever made. DH was thrilled and stated that we were done buying half and half. Then I made cashew based sour cream. That was outstanding. Again, it only took 120 seconds and we had a very good substitute for sour cream. Perfectly, and I mean perfectly, smooth.
Next was broccoli soup. Steamed broccoli, onion, garlic, seasonings and raw unsoaked cashews. One press of the soup button and less than 8 minutes later we had silky-smooth hot soup.
I cook using whole foods every day, primarily plant based. This device makes plant based dairy alternatives laughably simple. Honestly, had I known how well this worked I’ve have gotten one years ago for that alone. Now I’m so excited to try different sauces and dips and soy milk for tofu and to see how it does replacing my food processor for lentils or beans for patties and burgers and just so many things. I may even try a smoothie.
I should mention the cleaning function is incredibly useful. Part of the hesitation of using an appliance is having to clean it afterwards. The cleaning function gets the area around the blades sparkling clean. I do have to wash the upper portion but that’s so quick it’s nothing. This function will make me use it more often.
It’s only been a couple of days of use and it’s already earned a permanent space on the counter. Again, I cook full meals almost daily and it’s all whole foods so appliances are a big part of my day. I haven’t the time or patience to deal with anything that doesn’t perform. My multicooker, toaster oven/air fryer, ice machine, toaster and electric kettle all serve me well and are used nearly every day. Well, everyone has to scoot over to make some room because there’s new member of the family.
If you cook a lot, particularly if you are veg/vegan or just like cooking with whole foods, do yourself a favor. It’s an incredibly powerful workhorse, it’s built like it’ll last forever, use and cleanup are simple and quick. It will seriously upgrade your culinary game.
I can’t express how thrilled I am to have this in my kitchen. I’ve never been so happy to have been so wrong. -
Stylish but smaller blender jar and not quite an all-in-one replacement..
C. Ritchie September 23, 2024Review source: AmazonWe had an older generation VitaMix that was always powerful and reliable with very simple on/off/pulse/power controls, but perhaps not the coolest thing to look at. And we also have a Ninja Bullet for making smoothies and such – its great with its one button push settings for smoothies and shakes. And we have a Ninja Creami for making frozen desserts.
So this new VitaMix is supposed to be all of those things combined, in a much nicer package. On the latter point, it succeeds wonderfully. Its nice enough looking that we have put it out on our counter instead of away in a cabinet. It has a nice black/white housing and digital gauges. The jar has gotten smaller from our last unit which I don’t like – 6 cups down from 8.
Its also now has sort of two “modes”.
Turn the rotary knob to the right to the speed settings, and then the on/off or pulse rocker switches work just like the older unit. It blends powerfully, and is quite a bit quieter than our old unit.
Turning the rotary knob to the left is when the magic happens. Here you get presets for “clean”, “smoothie”, or “frozen desserts”. In these modes, toggling it on makes it automatically run a set program, and the digital display counts down the time remaining just like the Ninja products. It makes fine smoothies, but I’d still say the Bullet is better as you end up with a smoothie that is blended in the actual jar you drink it out of, where this VitaMix gives you the drink in a blender jar that you have to pour into a glass or travel mug. I’d also say it isn’t as good at making ice creams as is the Creami. The self clean setting is nice and gives you a nice clean blender jar.
So its not the all-in-one solution that lets you replace a blender, a Creami, and a Bullet. As a blender, its 10/10. As a smoothie maker, its 8/10 – great power for blending, less convenient for drinking compared to the Bullet. And as an ice cream maker, it doesn’t have the re-spin or add in settings that the Creami does, so probably not a very good replacement there.
Our last VitaMix is bulletproof – built like a tank. This one feels the same way so its expensive yes but probably the last blender you’ll ever need to buy.
