    This blender is SO strong but so lightweight. We had a ninja hot/cold glass blender prior and that thing was HEAVY. This container is made out of plastic, but that is what I prefer since it makes pouring out the smoothies so much easier. Clean up is a breeze, the color is beautiful, the tamper is great (as well as the holder for it). I love the simplicity of the knobs as there’s no need to do too much when it comes to kitchenware. Overall great brand and great product.

    This is my first ever experience with Vitamix and I am very impressed and grateful to have it. I really like it much better than my Ninja. Instead of having a bunch of digital buttons, it has the manual controls. I love the sleek design because it takes up less space than my other blenders from the past. It also mixes smoothies better than the Ninja as well which was surprising.

    I have been using it several months without any issues at all. It’s held up beautifully and is very well made. I’ve never used a tamper before, but it is awesome for making sure everything gets mixed well. With my other blenders I would have to push food down with a spoon to get it to mix. You don’t have to worry about any of that with the ascent blender. Vitamix made it easy for you!

    If you’ve never used a Vitamix, it doesn’t have a heating button, it heats up your food because of the friction blades. You have to leave it on for six or seven minutes, but it will heat up your food which is awesome. When I was sick, I just chopped up a bunch of onions and vegetables, threw them in the Vitamix for seven minutes and it was homemade fresh soup that literally required no cooking. I absolutely love this blender. I would say the only thing that’s missing is a recipe book but that’s what the internet’s for I suppose.

    I purchased three Ascent X2 blenders and all of them stopped sensing when the jar is placed on the unit within 1-3 weeks. I returned the first two because I only had each of them for 1 week. This time I called Vitamix and they said try a new jar, which I did and now the unit detects the new jar. Why the same issue happened to three separate units is a mystery because I am careful with the jars not to get them wet on the spindle mechanism.
