Highlights

Advanced Fuzzy Logic with AI Utilizes Artificial Intelligence to 'learn' from past cooking experiences, automatically adjusting the cooking flow to ensure consistent, ideal results every time.
Pressure Induction Heating (IH) Combines pressurized cooking with superior induction heating to turn beta starch into alpha starch, resulting in rice that is softer, fluffier, and easier to digest.
Platinum Infused Inner Pan Features a 1.7mm platinum-infused nonstick inner cooking pan that alkalizes the water, breaking down the protein on the surface of the rice grain for a sweeter taste.
Versatile Multi-Menu Settings Offers specialized programs for a wide variety of grains, including Jasmine rice, Congee, Steel Cut Oatmeal, GABA brown rice, and a unique Umami setting for enhanced flavor.
Superior Safety & Design Engineered with multiple fail-safe measures for safe pressure cooking, including a large steam vent cap to prevent overflows and sensors to ensure the unit is set up correctly.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Superior Rice Quality: The pressure induction heating technology produces perfectly fluffy, sweet, and consistent rice that users claim surpasses restaurant quality and standard fuzzy logic models.
  • Exceptional Keep Warm Function: The machine is highly praised for its ability to keep rice fresh, moist, and delicious for several days without it drying out, yellowing, or developing odors.
  • Versatile Grain Settings: Beyond standard white rice, it delivers excellent results for GABA brown rice, steel-cut oatmeal, and congee, with dedicated settings that handle difficult grains with ease.

Cons

  • Prohibitive Price: The extremely high cost is the most common complaint, with many users finding it difficult to justify the expense despite the high-quality results.
  • Reliability and Part Failures: Several reviewers reported hardware malfunctions shortly after the one-year warranty expired, specifically citing cracked inner lids, steam leaks, and persistent E17 error codes.
  • High Maintenance Cleaning: The unit requires significant effort to maintain, as multiple parts must be disassembled, hand-washed, and dried after every use to prevent starch buildup and odors.

This product seems expensive at first, but it really is rice perfection. Ive used it for cheap short-grain rice, to the fanciest sushi grade pearls, and this thing nails it every time. use the portion cups and water marks and go. I use it 2-3 times per week.

Very pricy rice cooker but it is definitely a game changer in the kitchen. It is easy to use and clean after use. The rice doesn’t burn at all from staying warm in the cooker for several hours after cooking is done. Does take about an hour or so to cook the rice depending on the type. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to make an investment.

  3. Best rice cooker ever. Worth the extra minute or two to clean the removable parts.

I am stunned by the steel cut oat function. Perfect oatmeal in about an hour. I had the previous model and gifted it to a friend and ordered this model for the oatmeal function. Otherwise you can expect properly cleaned rice to be delicious enough that it might be at your table several times a week.

I had the Japanese version for almost 20 years before it broke. (My fault, the lid opened and smacked against a cabinet above it and cracked the lid.
Thought I could get by with a Instapot or a lower end rice cooker. After about a year, I couldn’t take it anymore and splurged on this one.
So, so, so much better. Especially since we use a mixture of many different grains. It cooks them all evenly as well as being able to keep the rice fresh for a long time. I’ve ate rice well after 100hours of keeping warm.
Please don’t even consider comparing to something like the InstaPot!

Highly recommend!! A great rice cooker that handles any type of rice plus oatmeal, porridge (applesauce recipe) and more. We use it multiple times a week. This is my second Zojirushi cooker. Had the other one for more than 15 years and had to be replaced after dropping something on it and cracking the lid. Zojirushi is now manufacturing some cookers in China. This model is made in Japan and carries that label. The fuzzy logic works great — just make sure that you prepare the rice properly, including rinsing.

  7. The Best Rice Cooker You Can Get in the U.S.

The size is a little bulkier than I’d like, but I believe it produces the BEST rice in the U.S. without any voltage converter. No apologies for Panasonic.

Consistently perfect rice. Initially replaced our old cheap rice cooker with an instant pot, was not satisfied with how rice was turning out. Either it was watery and clump at the bottom or dry quickly on top. Decided to invest in a better rice cooker since we eat rice everyday. Best decision so far. Rice always turns out great, not sticky and mooshy, love the consistency of the rice grain. Pricey, but for me was totally worth it. Can’t wait to try the other features on this rice cooker. Easy to clean since you can easily take the top part out.

Okay, let’s just get this out of the way — this thing is insanely expensive. There’s NO WAY to justify it’s cost! But…. I’m glad to own one anyways! If you love rice, and want the most convenient machine to make the best-tasting rice of your life, you can’t go wrong (once you get over the guilt, lol)

The rice it produces is an absolute joy. You literally can’t screw it up, it’s perfect rice every time. Clean up is easy, and the rice still taste great the next day.

I owned an analog Zojirushi for over 20 years before this. The quality from this company is phenomenal.

Kids love their “rice balls” from this. Good for homemade sushi. Great for curries and stir fries. Haven’t tried oats or congee, but might give it a spin just to see!
