    Literally the greatest rice cooker on the planet. Every time I used my cheap rice cooker there would always be burnt rice on the bottom. I get perfect rice every single time now. This is a must have!

    Ordered this product because this is supposed to be the top of the line in the Zojirushi IH/Pressure rice cooker line up. I received the product yesterday evening and decided to give it a try. I tried to cook 2 cups not Brown rice mixed with some assorted beans and grains. To my surprise the cover did not fit quite exactly as it should and during the cooking process it started to rattle and made some weird sounds. I used the Brown rice program and the end result was…Brown rice a little soggy. I will try another batch of just brown or white rice without mixing anything with it. I have also requested an exchange and am awaiting the replacement. Will let you all know how this all turns out.

    It cooks every piece of rice in a perfect condition. Not a single rice stick to another, and they are chewy with a sense of juicy. I love it. Only one thing, you must spend 2-5 minutes to clean it per use.

    1. LID frequently locks and wont open for heavens sake.. Google & youtube for yourself for the issue.

    2. Horrible design and terrible customer support.

    3. This rice cooker has a short life span and to service it, it will cost you dearly.
    Zojirushi support in the USA is a nightmare. They have only a few third party service centers.

    4. The third party service center would ask you to ship the product to them for a “free evaluation”, and and claim that it would cost an average of 1/3rd the price of the product to repair.

    5. Do a favor to yourself. Do not buy Zojirushi products. This rice cooker fails often as the lid locks up and if it does it can cost you 1/3rd the price of the cooker as it requires you to send it to the service center.
    (Google and youtue the issue of zojirushi lid lock up) The customer support is horrible and super expensive.

    6. Zojiruushi has third party service centers who ask you you ship you rice cooker for a free evaluation. Then they said it cost 1/3rd price to fix it.

    7. If you are in the USA, you are stuck with the horrible support center staff in Torrance, CA.
    Stay clear from Zijirushi rice cooker (and their products) if you are in the USA.

    My children bought me this rice cooker for my birthday. I love it. Design is so sleek it goes well with my other kitchen appliances. I love the music/tone it plays before and after cooking the rice. My rice is cooked perfectly. One advice, do not use metal on metal. Use plastic scooper always to get your cooked rice, otherwise, you’ll scratch the bottom. It’s been 5 years and 2 moves, we are still using the same rice cooker. I love love this rice cooker.

    This product posting is very confusing. The model listed is Zojirushi NP-NWC18XB rice cooker, which was released just a couple of months ago in 2020. Most of the comments and reviews here date back several years and are related to a different model NP-NVC18.

    The vendor needs to start afresh with a new listing so that the comments would relate only to the newer, current model NP-NWC18.

    The one star rating has to do with the quality of product listing and not the product/s itself.
