Cannot use Wifi 5GHz

Things they don’t tell you when you’re about to buy a Canon printer follows. You have to download the app “Canon Print” in order to print (Can’t just use a printer driver? WTF? If I can figure out a work-around for that, I’ll update ya). Setup to a smartphone was easy; took just under 5 minutes. Setup to a brand new lameazz desktop with malfunctioning wifi does not work. Connecting wirelessly from a desktop that uses an ethernet connection to a router, to print wirelessly…don’t know. I’m sure there’s a way, but I haven’t figured it out yet. Its definitely not intuitive. Oh and **you can only print from Wifi or from LAN, not both.**
Semi-related note: maybe don’t buy lameazz computers from online retailers such as this one, where another buyer mentioned the Wifi didn’t work. FML. -

On one computer, every time i try to print, it says it isn’t connected, but then it does print, but the next time I try, it doesn’t and I have to restart it. My two other computers each printed once when I first got it but never again. They always say it isn’t connected. I have tried all the Canon troubleshooting and nothing works. Unfortunately, i don’t use it much so it’s probably too late to send it back. Also, there is no way to make the scan button work on the machine. I always have to open the software and scan and it is very awkward, requiring several steps. The old Canon PIXMA machine and software were much better. How can they ruin a great thing?
