Connectivity terrible and devours ink
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.HVAC MANIAC March 6, 2024Review source: AmazonI have owned several Canon printers and when the last one failed after 10 years I opted for the Canon Tr7820
First off it eats ink like nothing I have ever seen.
Canon offers an option to pay by the page and they replace the ink.Never thought that paying 10 cents a page would make sense until I ended up paying $80 for a replacement color and black cartridge and watched it drain down 30% with only 50 pages.Next up connectivity.I have had no issues with making any printer we used the network printer. We had print jobs sent from iPhones and Windows laptops.
This Canon printer initially set up easily then nothing but error messages stating “Failed connection “
I went through all of the troubleshooting steps and eventually it works only to fail next print job.
I’m just past the 30 day return window and I’m stuck with a time consuming and unreliable printer. My advice, don’t make the same mistake! -

Forget Canon
Verified purchase Verified purchase: This reviewer bought the product.DAVE O'HEARN February 24, 2024Review source: AmazonI wrote a long piece on the deceptive practice of non disclosure, incomplete disclosure. I’ll never buy Canon again. Even if it’s a good product, it’s a highly deceptive marketing scheme. I’m complaining to the Attorney General in Massachusetts. It’s a 93A violation. It’s unbelievable that Canon…a long term producer of good products, would stoop to this to boost their profits. Buyer Beware.

High-quality printing, ADF scanning, auto-duplex, compact and budget friendly!
Incentivized Incentivized review: The reviewer received a benefit for sharing feedback.Vlad S. February 17, 2024Review source: AmazonIt turned out to be an excellent printer, and I am incredibly happy with the results. It’s very compact and takes up very little space on my home office desk. And it has everything I need from an office printer. The bottom paper tray can hold up to 100 sheets of paper, and the rear paper tray can hold up to 100 additional sheets, giving you 200 sheet total capacity. Printing is fast at about 15 pages per minute, and it’s pretty quiet, and quality is much better than the older Epson printer that was on its way out. Print heads are in the cartridge now, so it makes you not have to worry about that part wearing out over time, but it also makes replacement ink cartridges more expensive. The scanner has ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) so you can scan multi-page documents in one go, which is great for office tasks. The control panel now has a touch screen, and it is easy to use compared to my old control panel with buttons. And it has Wi-Fi, so you can connect to your network without dragging any wires across a room :). Oh, I almost forgot, I was stunned when I discovered that this little printer can even do auto-duplex printing. That’s right, it can print on both sides of a page, no problem! End-to-end, it’s great for what it does and at the current price of 130 bucks you really can’t beat this deal. I highly recommend this printer to anyone looking for a reliable and all-in-one solution without breaking your bank.
*** TL;DR ***
This compact and efficient printer with a 200-sheet capacity, fast 15 ppm printing, and quiet operation impressed me. Improved quality over my older printer, ADF for multi-page scanning, a user-friendly touch screen control panel, and Wi-Fi connectivity make it a complete office solution. Auto-duplex printing is a surprising bonus. Despite slightly pricier ink cartridges, the overall value at $130 is unbeatable. Highly recommended for those seeking a reliable, all-in-one printer without breaking the bank. 5 stars!+++ Pros +++
