My previous Iron was also a tefal steam generator and it lasted me 5 years, which is the longest I have ever had 1 iron for. This new one has excellent steam and glides through the ironing but my 3 negative points would have to be : There doesnt seem to be a temperature control on this iron, not that I can find anyway. Also the power cord has nowhere to be stowed away when not in use. Lastly were 2 ridges on my old model at the front where i could pick the iron up after using it to put it away but there is only one on this model. As i have weak wrists this was a fantastic extra for me and it made my life easier. Overall i love the iron and my 3 points do not detract from the fact it powers through my ironing.

This iron was a replacement for a different brand but also a steam generator which I had for over 4years but it broke down hence this purchase. The color of the iron is very nice, it's the 'in' color at the moment & the fact that I don't need to keep putting my temp up or down according to the garment I'm ironing is def worth it as the iron "by magic" as my OH calls it, knows how to adjust to the fabric & I'm not scared of burning anything with the wrong temp. The boost on this is extremely powerful & although, the water tank is slightly smaller than my old iron, I just keep a bottle of water with me & fill up as & when I need to. I've not had to clean the anti calc/dirt collected yet so can't comment on that as my old iron used to auto clean itself so that's the only reason I'm giving this iron 4 stars & not 5 but I would definitely recommend this to cut your ironing time in half!
